We appreciate your patience as we verify your Métis Citizenship prior to verifying your attendance for the Annual General Assembly. All information will be verified by the Registry Office and could take up to two weeks to complete. Once verified, attendees will be sent an email once your attendance is confirmed.

Q: Will there be childcare available during the Annual General Assembly?
A: Camp AGA will be onsite for attendees with children ages 0-12. This will be a free service led by the MNO Early Learning and Child Care team. Registration for the event is required. An email will be sent out with the link to register your 
child(ren) for Camp AGA. Children will be split into three groupings 0-3, 4-7, 8-12, and engage in developmentally appropriate programming through the duration of the event. Lunch and snacks will be provided as well.

Q: How do I register my child(ren) for Camp AGA?
A: Check the box to indicate that you would like to register your child(ren) for Camp AGA and an email with a registration link will be sent to you. 

Q: What happens if I need childcare assistance outside of Camp AGA hours?
A: For individuals traveling with children, childcare services will be available at Camp AGA on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:30 AM until the conclusion of AGA business hours. If staff members are needed to work beyond Camp AGA hours, they must make alternate childcare arrangements.

Q: Will MNO feed my family?  

Those attending the AGA will receive food including morning snacks, lunch, and afternoon snacks on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, only morning snacks and lunch will be provided. 

 

Dinner will be served for citizens attending the President's welcome and canoe arrival on Thursday, and for those attending the Gala evening on Saturday.
 

Yes, when registering as a citizen, there is an option to receive an email with a promo code and instructions on how to book your accommodations.  

Camping is available during the AGA, but please note that all costs are at your own expense.

We welcome your participation in this exciting event, providing a platform for showcasing your offerings to our community.

The MNO AGA Vendor Fair is scheduled to be open to the public during the following hours:

  • Friday, August 15 from 9:00am to 5:00pm, during AGA Meeting hours.
  • Saturday, August 16 from 9:00am to 6:00pm, during AGA Meeting hours.
  • Sunday, August 17 from 9:00am to 12:00pm, during AGA Meeting hours.

Vendors are responsible for staffing their tables during scheduled Vendor Fair hours.

Each vendor will be provided with a designated space, which includes a table and two chairs. Please note that electrical outlets may be limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q: Will finance be onsite to help with reimbursements?
A: Yes, finance liaisons will be onsite during AGA business hours for those eligible.

Q: Will MNO cover my families travel expenses? 

A: MNO will not cover travel expenses for family members.

Q: Are their any limitations to invited attendees driving to AGA daily?
A: For MNO invited attendees, MNO will accept personal car mileage to drive up to 1 hour or 100 km one way to and from the AGA daily. Mileage will be at the currently approved MNO rate.

Q: What kind of receipts can I claim?
A: 
Receipts are required for:

  • Airfare (including boarding passes), rail fare, or bus fare, car rentals (if prior justification is approved before the trip) and/or transportation to airports
  • Lodging – at the lowest available rate and pre-approved
  • Parking and taxis

Receipts are not required for:

  • Meals, mileage and incidentals for overnight

In the event that it is impractical to obtain a required receipt, or if such receipt has been inadvertently destroyed (please note that this circumstance is only acceptable on rare occasions), the traveller should submit a signed written statement (which constitutes an affidavit) to that effect, as well as an explanation of the expenditure involved.

Before you join us for this years AGA, be sure to remember these essentials:

  • Reusable Water Bottle: There will be water filling stations throughout the space.
  • Sunscreen/Hat
  • Bug Spray
