#1 CAMPING UNDER THE STARS

There are two options for camping under the stars this AGA:

Camping Option A: SOLD OUT/ WAITLIST

The MNO has secured the use of a group site, and the fees will be waived. These sites are first come, first serve until they are gone. These sites can accommodate approximately 25 campers with tents. Group sites have running water to a tap and a privy for a washroom at the entrance to each site. There are no electrical hookups there. These sites would be a great option for larger groups, to get together for a fire or meal. Please note: The campground limits the number of campers to 6 to keep the sites compact and the noise down for the neighbouring sites.

*Please reply to events@metisnation.org to confirm your wish to use the FREE group site. Sites are first come first served and may be sold out.

Camping Option B:

If you would rather choose your own site preferences and pay for your stay, please register your party at Reservations at Ontario Parks or call 1-888-668-7275. Only those who have been preapproved will be able to claim campsite reimbursement.

The fee structure for these sites daily is as follows:

  • Hydro sites - regular $47.50, Senior $38.00, Person with Disabilities $23.75 plus HST for all.
  • Non-hydro sites - regular $42.00, Senior $33.60, Person with Disabilities $21.00 plus HST for all.

As per the cancellation policy at Awenda Park,

This window opens up five months in advance to the day of your expected arrival (i.e., if you arrive on Thursday, August 15th, you should book on Friday, March 15th at 7 am) You can book online or by calling the reservation line above. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone.  https://www.ontarioparks.ca/reservations/penalties, below are the restrictions for cancelling your stay.
